You don't need to have it all figured out...
Most brides come to me with a bit of an idea, a load of saved pictures and a few things they’re convinced will make it difficult - they never wear their hair up, they don’t think they’ve got enough hair for the styles they love, or they’re just not sure what will actually suit them.
Honestly, I hear all of these things ALL the time!
You don’t need to know loads about hair. That’s my bit. Show me what you’ve saved, tell me what you like and what you don’t - including the ears, forehead or side profile you’re convinced we need to hide - and we’ll go from there.
At your trial we’ll try things, change things, probably change them back again and eventually get to yep, that’s it. There’ll be tea, coffee or prosecco, snacks, and I’ll obviously need to see the dress, flowers, bridesmaid dresses and anything else you fancy showing me. I’ll probably know most of the family gossip by the end too!
And I will tell you what I think. If something isn’t quite working, we’ll change it. If extensions would help, I’ll tell you. If you don’t need them, I’ll tell you that too. Maybe we need some padding, maybe we tweak the style a little, or maybe your own hair can do far more than you think it can.
Basically, you really don’t need to have the hair bit figured out before you come to me.
We’ll figure it out together. 🤍

The Hair
Lived-in updos, relaxed half-ups, soft waves and plenty of texture.
I love hair with movement. Nothing stiff, nothing stuck to your head and definitely no big old-fashioned bouffants over here!
Basically, I want it to look beautiful without looking like it’s been done within an inch of its life.
There might be a LOT going on underneath to make that happen - padding, extensions, products and approximately 847 hair pins 😂 - but you'd never know it. One of the things my brides are always surprised by is just how comfortable their hair feels, even when there’s plenty going on behind the scenes.
It just needs to look bloody good. And still look bloody good several hours later.

I really do love my job! Even with the 5am alarms, a car absolutely full of hair stuff and some questionable sat nav directions!
Once I get there, I like knowing what’s going on. Who I’ve got next, where we’re up to with timings and that we’ve got plenty of time at the end. I HATE feeling rushed.
I’m also not very good at finishing your hair and actually leaving it alone! You’ll get out of my chair and I’ll still be looking at it while you’re minding your business sipping on bubbles - checking it from different angles and probably coming over to move one tiny bit that nobody else has even noticed.
So if you catch me staring at the back of your head from across the room, that’s why.
And then there’s the bit at the end. Hair done, dress on, veil in... and suddenly there’s an actual BRIDE standing there.
I love seeing everyone’s reaction. Mum crying, bridesmaids getting emotional and me standing in the corner feeling ridiculously invested in the wedding of someone I probably didn’t even know a year ago!
I don’t think that bit will ever get old. 🤍
