Before We Talk Hair...
You’re inviting me into a pretty personal part of your wedding day, so it probably helps to know a little bit about the person who’ll be turning up on the morning...
I’m Charlotte, originally from Lancashire but now living in Stamford with my husband Steve and our two ginger cats, Bilbo & Baggins, who you may well meet when you arrive for your trial!
I’m probably best described as Type B with a Type A diary! I’m naturally pretty relaxed and easy-going, but I love being organised and having a plan. I’m also an introverted extrovert, I love meeting new people and having a good chat, but I’m equally happy heading home afterwards for a quiet night and a recharge.
Outside of hair, I love travelling and weekends away, a good meal, long walks (preferably with a pub refuel along the way!) and generally making plans for whatever we’re doing next.
How Did I End Up Doing Bridal Hair?
I’ve always loved weddings and I’ve always been the one doing hair for friends and family, but it wasn't until lockdown, while planning my own wedding, that the idea of actually doing it as a job popped into my head.
And then it wouldn't go away!
So I signed up for an online bridal hair course, bought myself a mannequin head and started practising. A lot.
What started as something I thought I’d give a go quickly became something I absolutely loved, and in 2022 I took the plunge and started my bridal hair business properly.
It’s quite surreal looking back at those early days practising at home now, especially as I had absolutely no idea where that little lockdown idea was going to take me. But I’m very glad I listened to it 🥹🤍
